Concrete Jungle Fever in NYC - Tim McDill
Original song written by Tim McDill.
The contrast between the concrete jungle and real jungle left me ill for a week of my month long visit in NYC. And just to clarify, the "little f**ker" is actually a lighthearted term that a friend of mine uses for the ego.
Despite the tone of the song, I really loved New York and enjoyed meeting a bunch of awesome people! Thanks to all of you for so many great times.

Lyrics:
This city burns like a knife
heated atop a stove
left on all night
light your cigarette and explode in it
cope with it
cope with it they say
you'll learn to cope with it
what, with some booze, some coke, a cookie with some dope in it
hoping that its opening the floodgates for some dopamine
and not just drops of visine hiding red eyes I am crying for my own light
tantalizing skys of scenes I have devised comprised of synergistic lives
love weaved and our hearts intertwined.
Perfection in an hourglass away across the pool
but I wouldn't dare stare if my maui jims couldn't hide my godless sin
And "tantalizing" sure describes more thoroughly than a novelist could write but I'm still trying, I'm still trying, "try not, do" said a green wiseman, save the poetry it's all what you think
This city cuts like fire,
slow searing desire
to cremate the little fuck(er)
using my bandwidth I'm not wired in
Disconnected, I've rejected natural instincts to be rooted
cuz I tripped trying to maneuver through the jungle made by humans
